Muhtar Adeiza Etudaiye is a Professor of Law at the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. He has written articles in both national and international journals of repute such as the Essex Human Rights Review, Lexigentia, Journal of Malaysian and Comparative Law, Journal Jurisprudence, and the IIC – International Review of Intellectual Property and Competition Law amongst others. He has been Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Law (2010-2012) and Head of Department, Department of Jurisprudence and International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin (2012-2014), and Director, Centre for Research Development and In-House Training (CREDIT), Chairman, University Admission Committee (2023-2025). For a period spanning 2010 to 2015, he was a member, of the Legal Committee of the National Council on Privatisation, Nigeria. He is currently the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research, Technology and Innovation (RTI) of the university. His areas of interest include the Construction of Statutes with emphasis on Compliance Guaranty Mechanisms, Clinical Legal Education, general Jurisprudence and Legal Theory, Public International Law, and Human Rights Law.
